Constant cough is always serious. Visit your doctor to make sure immediate life-threatening conditions can be eliminated. It is usually postnasal drip. Mucus from infected sinuses dribbles down the back of your throat and irritates your lungs. That’s why you cough. It can take three months for your lungs to come out of their hypersensitive state.
• Clean up any possible sources of irritating dusts in your environment
• Take anti-allergic medicines to combat any allergy that might be present and to reduce swelling in your nasal passages
• Talk to your doctor to prescribe several courses of high dose antibiotics to clean out your sinuses.
